Our problem definition and opportunity statement are as follows:
<aside> 💡 Currently, many people don't understand where their material objects come from, leading to a black box between makers and consumers. As a result, what often leads to an object's deterioration with regard to value is based on people's perception of its wholeness, temporality, and status in the current trend cycle, contributing further disconnect between customers and craftspeople/laborers. Through our work, we plan on creating surprising, meaningful interactions with artifacts and their stories in order to encourage people to challenge their own assumptions about what determines value and build stronger emotional attachments to their things.
